The Process
1. Establishing a Strong Foundation
The journey began with the careful preparation of the foundation. We dug two precise holes to accommodate the 6×6” oak posts. These posts are integral to the structure, providing both support and a classic aesthetic. To ensure long-term stability, we secured each post with concealed post bases, keeping the design sleek and unobtrusive.
2. Building the Oak A-Frame and Rafters
With the foundation in place, our skilled team moved on to constructing the framework. The oak A-frame and rafters were meticulously crafted, forming the skeleton of the porch. This robust structure ensures durability while maintaining a timeless, handcrafted look.
3. Finishing Touches for a Striking Look
The final phase involved adding the finishing details that bring the project together. We laid natural slates and installed red mini ridges, which not only complement the oak but also add a distinctive flair to the overall design.
